Minerva Teichert

Minerva Teichert

"Esther"

I absolutely admire the way she interprets biblical stories in her paintings. I love her loose style and her almost muted color palates.

Rachel;

MT is one of my all time favorite artists. I am SOOO glad you included her work in your collection!

I love Minerva too. Especially when I'm all Friberged out and need a break from bodybuilding Nephites. Yick.

I got to sleep in her house once (I was roommates with her granddaughter who had to go to a family reunion in Cokeville, WY and bribed me to come with her by telling me I'd get to stay at Minerva's). She had painted a prairie landscape strip along the tops of the walls, like those goofy wallpaper edging strips you can put up, only this didn't look goofy. The old handcranked washing machine was still out in the farmyard, and the garden was full of hollyhocks and delphinium. A quiet, isolated place for an artist's lair. It was very easy to picture her there, drawing her color palate from the landscape around her.

Wow, what a cool story. So do they not move or touch a thing in the house? Is it just a Minerva left it? Or still in good use?
